Ceramics & Pottery

Bangalore, Karnataka

Arjun's journey with clay began during a residency in Khurja, Uttar Pradesh, where he studied under master potters who have practiced their craft for centuries. The experience transformed his approach to ceramics — moving from purely functional ware to sculptural pieces that carry the memory of traditional forms.

His work draws from the earthy palette and organic shapes found in terracotta traditions across India, but reinterprets them through a contemporary lens. Each piece is hand-built or thrown on a kick wheel, fired in a wood-burning kiln he built himself.

As a founding member of Indikala, Arjun is passionate about creating spaces where traditional craft knowledge can be exchanged freely. He believes that the studio is the best classroom.
